Wrestler's Name: Mad Dog Connelly
Nicknames: The Mad Dog, King of the Dog Collar
Hometown: Memphis, Tennessee
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 225 lbs
Alignment: Heel
Wrestling Style: Brawler
Manager/Valet: Arn Anderson
Entrance Music:
5 Favorite Moves:
Lariat (Thrown with reckless abandon. He’ll hit it from anywhere and everywhere, sometimes wrapping his arm in that steel dog collar of his if the match calls for it.)
Headbutt (Thrown often and thrown with malice. He’s known for dishing out rapid-fire headbutts, often refusing to stop until he himself is busted open.)
Gutwrench Suplex (Sometimes hit in threes. He’ll usually transition to a gutwrench powerbomb on the third one.)
Corner Dropkick (Hit while the opponent is seated in the corner. If the stipulation calls for it, he’ll throw in a steel chair in front of his opponent.)
Rear Naked Choke (A go-to for Mad Dog. He isn’t afraid to get dirty and apply while behind the ropes or on the turnbuckle either.)
Finisher(s):
Bullrope Choke (Hangman Neck Crank. Mad Dog reaches his arms behind his back and wraps them around his opponent’s chin, hoisting them up onto his back. He then wrenches forward to apply as much pressure to the neck and head as possible.)
Jumping Headbutt (Usually done with a running start, Mad Dog will use himself as a projectile and launch his head into his opponent’s.)
Biography:
Somewhere between Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen, Mad Dog is a southern throwback. Known for competing in vicious dog collar matches all over the independent circuit, Mad Dog was aptly named King of the Dog Collar. He’s a raw prospect, bringing an aura of physicality and violence with him wherever he goes. His reckless nature, confrontational attitude, and pension for the macabre quickly led him to gain an unfavorable reputation among promoters. Had it not been for Arn Anderson taking him under his wing, his future in the wrestling industry would have likely been in jeopardy. He may have gained a mentor in Arn but he sure hasn’t lost the chip on his shoulder. That’s big as ever.
