Just days before Sunday Night SLAM! airs live from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, EWA.com has learned that EWA Commissioner Christian Cage will be meeting with superstar Finn Bálor to discuss his brutal assault of Team Taz coach Taz at Red, White & Bruised.
When reached for comment, the EWA Commissioner stated, "I know better than anyone just how quickly tensions can rise in the EWA locker room but Bálor's attack on Taz was unacceptable. It is an understanding that a fight can break out anywhere between two active competitors on the roster--that's just the nature of the business. However, Taz is not an active competitor and has been retired from the ring for quite some time now. If I allow what happened at Red, White & Bruised to pass by without any sort of comment or repuercussion, then that sets a dangerous precedent for talent to attack anyone backstage that they simply don't like."
In recent weeks, Finn Bálor found himself along with new EWA National Champion Darby Allin in opposition of Team Taz, and Bálor stated that he attacked Taz to prevent the EWA legend from interrupting in former champion Powerhouse Hobbs' title defense against Allin. However, the EWA Commissioner isn't the only person in the EWA locker room seeking to speak with Bálor. Moments before his match with returning superstar Kid Kash, Darby Allin stated bluntly that he and Bálor needed to talk.
