Welcome, to the first installment of the EWA Top 5!
With this list we aim to highlight the great work being done across the E-Wrestling Alliance, pulling together the top 5 individuals, tag-teams, or stables who we think have had a big impact over the past two weeks. These are the movers and shakers of the last two weeks. There's a lot of great work being done in the EWA universe so it will be impossible to highlight everyone, so if you don't make an appearance on the list don't worry. This list isn't just wins and losses but will take into account whether you've competed in competitive matches, had an impact in hot segments, or made a much anticipated return/debut. With that being said, let's move on to the list!
Number 5: Insurexxxtion
This spot was a straight shootout between Insurexxxtion and the duo of Stephy Slays & Tam Nakano. Ultimately it was Saraya's victory over Slays on EWA USA that tipped it in her team's favor. Insurexxxtion have been making their presence felt across all areas of the show since Civil War and they're looking like a team that Charlotte Flair, and any woman in the EWA should be keeping a careful eye on going forward.
Number 4: Kenny Omega
Omega is back!
Returning to the EWA with Japanese legend Gedo at his back Omega was sure enough to make an impact as it was. But, to come out and interrupt the clown prince of chaos, Doink the Clown, was about as high up the ladder as you could look to jump at the first time of asking.
Omega perhaps hasn't had the impact he wanted to have in the EWA, yet, but it feels like that's about to change.
Number 3: Charlotte Flair
Is there anyone more reliable than Charlotte Flair in the EWA? If she competes, she wins. Proving that again with a strong victory over a Mandy Rose on SLAM who was up for the challenge. As Charlotte herself said on EWA USA, her work speaks for itself.
Charlotte has also been unwilling to back down from perhaps her most dangerous challenger to date, Civil War winner, Sasha Banks. Was it Charlotte who took out Sasha backstage? Who knows? What you can guarantee is that Charlotte will be all over our screens in the weeks to come and very likely with her hand in the air.
Number 2: Darby Allin
The Coffin Dropping, relentless, Darby Allin is currently embroiled in a heated rivalry with the mystical Bray Wyatt and his associates. You would think that would be enough to keep him occupied, but when MJF came calling and challenged Allin to a match, Darby stepped up. Not only that, but he went on to win. Rather than give this spot to Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Darby continues on his quest to get Bray Wyatt off his back.
Allin is the perpetual underdog, but he never gives up and his willingness to take on all challenges, no matter the risk, may have shortened his lifespan but it's made him a top-tier competitor in the EWA.
Number 1: Roman Reigns
Then we have the man himself. The winner of the men's Civil War match, Roman Reigns.
We've already seen the battle lines being drawn between Roman and the rest of The Bloodline but, much like Allin, that hasn't stopped him from stepping into the ring. A competitive match with Finn Balor helped push Roman up those last few spots to top this list.
Roman is as good as they come and it's no surprise that he's made himself a standout on our weekly shows since winning at Civil War. The question is, will he face Sefa Fatu for the World Championship or does Roman have too strong of a Samoan allegiance?
