Case Type: Psychiatric
Mr. Cage,
I have been overseeing Balor’s, herein referred to as ‘patient’, care for nearly two years. Patient was brought to the hospital by a woman named Veronica ‘Vero’ Rodriguez-Balor. Ms. Rodriguez-Balor, a sports journalist, claimed that she had found the patient (her husband) wandering the grounds of Dun Aonghasa Castle, on the Aran Islands off the coast of Ireland. Patient was muttering incoherently; what little she was able to make out talked of an ancient battle on the Islands. My research indicates that there’s no historical evidence to corroborate such a battle having occurred.
In the almost three years in my care, Patient has made excellent strides in their recovery. There were no signs of any traumatic event, no indications of brain injury or concussion. Brain and CT scans are perfectly consistent with a man 41 years of age who is in exceptional physical condition.
In spite of what would look like a clean bill of health, patient has signs consistent to those of someone with multiple personality disorder. Most of the time, patient is happy and relaxed, with the occasional verbal tics to indicate something wrong. When challenged or stressed, however, a darker side of patient has been known to present. This ‘side’ calls itself Fergal Devitt (herein referred to as ‘Devitt’ or ‘Prince Devitt.’) Devitt claims to be the last survivor of a long-forgotten Irish clan that lived on the Aran Islands
It has been challenging to speak with Prince Devitt, but there have been signs of him lingering under the surface, particularly when the patient is agitated. After medical exams, for example, Patient will sometimes begin to speak in the third person, in my opinion using the royal ‘we.’ Facial expressions will intensify. Patient’s fingers may drum on the chair, or hold an object so tightly their knuckles turn white, indicating repressed aggression just held in check.
In spite of this, it is my professional medical opinion that Patient is perfectly, medically healthy, and ready to rejoin the workforce. He will pass any medical test that the EWA can throw at him, and passes most psychiatric exams with ease.
If you have any questions, you can meet with patient yourself, or contact my office at [NUMBER REDACTED].
Signed,
Doctor Thomas P. DeJong

Note for Newt: I'm still taking my hiatus. I'd like to drop La Famiglia (Luigi Primo, Tomasso Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano) for the time being. I'll be using Finn Balor for the occasional match when I have time/inspiration to write, but would also like to keep Toni Storm and Wardlow on as characters. Thanks.
