Biography: "Hangman" Adam Page was a humble, honest, lovable school teacher from the heart of Halifax, Virginia. He made his bones all over the world, more specifically on the American independents and even in Japan as a part of a faction called "The Bullet Club" that was a cultural phenomenon. It wasn't until a huge upstart promotion happened in the US, funded by a billionaire, that Adam was given his true chance at stardom though. The fans adored him, cheered him on and motivated him to get to the top. He was even noted as the chosen one of this promotion, winning their world championship. But that's when the cracks started to show... There was something deeper to Adam Page.
Failures and misfortunes kept him from being able to maintain his perch atop this new promotion. The world was beginning to see his proclivity for alcohol. His inability to maintain friendships. His tendency to come up short when the spotlights were on. A concussion from a lariat by a more accomplished top star put him out of action and in the hospital, unable to remember the name of his child, or the match that the injury even occurred in. This brush with death not only affected his brain chemistry, but caused him to question what was really important to him, and why he kept failing when the biggest opportunities were placed in front of him.
Burdened with the crippling agony of once again coming up short, he left it all behind and walked away from the promotion he was in, opting to find the sources of his pain. In his return, he's become more veiled, more intense. Instead of an even tone, he now tends to be more soft spoken...until the sparse moments he breaks loud and unhinged. He's darker, cryptic and some would even go as far as to say -- a specter of the man we once knew him as. Determined to unravel his latent suffering, he has his eyes on the landscape of the EWA and it's champions as the targets for unearthing his pain.
