Biography: After the success of Xia Li in the women's division, Sonya Deville sought out to make a splash in the men's division as well. Much like she did with Xia Li, Sonya searched for someone from outside of the country whose talents were overlooked and unknown to EWA viewers. Buddy Murphy is a brick wall of a man. He's just as strong as he is quick and his well honed strike game is as efficient as it is deadly. Murphy doesn't waste much movement in the ring and charges all of his opponents head on with the simple ideology of strike first and strike hard. Outside of the ring, Murphy is moody and brash. He's not the friendly sort and keeps to himself as much as possible. He seems easily agitated and bitter that he had to find his own way to the EWA instead of the EWA finding him. His relationship with Sonya is all business as well. He understands that she needs him to perform in order to be paid and he needs her to keep him employed with the EWA.
