This is EWA Wrestleline. The only official news and rumors of the E-Wrestling Alliance, reported and verified by EWA insiders. The stories here are broke down into two categories:
News, the first category, which has official confirmation and comment from sources withing the EWA Headquarters in San Diego, CA.
Rumors, the second category, have been told to us by those with inside EWA knowledge, but has not been commented on publicly by the company.
- General Manager Harry Smith will be at SLAM this Sunday to help the transition for the new EWA Commissioner, but he is not expected to appear on screen. However, the new commissioner will.
- Nikki Lane is said to be injured after her match with Charlotte Flair this past weekend, which saw "The Opportunity" pummel her post match and hit her with a kendo stick repeatedly.
- A somewhat surprising second generation superstar has inked a contract with the EWA and is expected to debut soon.
- New EWA Women's Champion Kylie Rae is looking to line up her first EWA Women's Championship defense. Kylie is said to be eager to get into the ring.
- The EWA Network has added a ton of new classic shots to the archive.
- Several EWA superstars were removed from the roster, including Scotty 2 Hotty, Karrion Kross, Chris Masters, Omos, Taya Valkyrie and most notably Chris Jericho. It's believed that the door is open for some to return, while others, like Jericho, are out indefinitely due to injuries.
- Officials are said to be impressed with MJF and Roman Reigns after this past week's performances.
- There is talk of making Red, White & Bruised a really big show with several important matches being discussed. RWB is always one of the EWA's big events, but this go around could be one of the biggest of the calendar year.
- Officials in Mexico were said to be quite pleased with the results of Mayan Mayhem, with the EWA expected to return south of the border in the future.
- On that note, Mil Mascaras got rave reviews backstage not only for his commentary but his general presence at the event. The belief is that the legendary luchador added some gravitas to the event.
- Rumors that T-Bar is the son of Crowbar and Katy Bar (the door) are unsubstantiated.
- Former EWA Women's Champion Sasha Banks was recently removed from the EWA roster after not appearing in many months. Word on the street is that she was abducted by aliens while working on "Bunkhouse Buck" Jimmy Golden's farm. Apparently this is pretty common on the farm.
- Shark Boy recently caused a panic in Amity Island in New York. And this close to 4th of July! Mayor Vaughn says it's all psychological.
- The Great Kabuki was spotted backstage at a recent EWA show talking to Aleister Black.
- Wednesday (June 8th) is Liv Morgan's birthday. A birthday she shares with Keenan Ivory Wayans and Joan Rivers. Time to LIV it up!
- Mil Muertes recently caused a real stink backstage when he accidentally made an EWA Referee evacuate his bowels when the two bumped into each other in a dark corner of the arena.
- PN News recently defeated 56 hot dogs in a "rap battle".
- Booker T may be retiring from commentary after his injuries sustained by facing Mil Muertes. Speculation persists that Random House is pursuing him to write his first novel during his time away, "Lord of the Suckas: Fellowship of the Shucky Ducky". No word yet on if he'll take them up on their offer.
- June is the month with the longest daylight hours of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and conversely, June has the shortest daylight hours of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.
