This is EWA Wrestleline. The only official news and rumors of the E-Wrestling Alliance, reported and verified by EWA insiders. The stories here are broke down into two categories:
News, the first category, which has official confirmation and comment from sources withing the EWA Headquarters in San Diego, CA.
Rumors, the second category, have been told to us by those with inside EWA knowledge, but has not been commented on publicly by the company.
- There has been an influx of talent to the company recently with several new contracts signed in recent weeks, including Hook, Bobby Lashley, Rhea Ripley, Corey Graves, Shane Thorne and others signing. Several veterans have also returned to the company with men like the Undertaker and James Storm inking new EWA contracts.
- Speaking of new talent, several other contracts are currently being worked out for more new additions to the roster.
- There are several other talents who haven't been used on television in months, expected to be released.
- According to some reports the new schedule for 2022 will contain more live event dates for the world famous E-Arena that is owned wholly by the EWA and is undergoing an extensive remodel to allow more seating.
- Worldwide Underground have continued to impress officials backstage and some in the EWA believe this group could be the next big breakout stars in the promotion.
- The EWA archive of results, the EWA Network, continues to flourish with access to hundreds of events, many of which have not been seen since they originally aired.
- Some veterans have taken a more active backstage role and it is believed that this will continue for the foreseeable future.
- Eric Bischoff returned to the EWA for the SuperBrawl Panel Recap and it was said to have went well for all involved. Although the former GM has not been seen on EWA TV in many years, his knowledge of the product appeared extensive and word is he will continue in this role for now as an analyst on the preview shows.
- Lady Frost was recently mistaken for a character from Disney's "Frozen" resulting in what our sources say was "one very upset small child".
- The ghost of King Kong Bundy was spotted in catering recently. The ghastly apparition apparently had a healthy appetite.
- Former EWA wrestler, Jamie Senegal was eaten by a shark. No word on what happened to his chum.
- There have been some questions about the whereabouts of the Mean Street Posse and why they've been off television for months prior to their return on this past week's SLAM. Rumor is they were fighting in a three way lawsuit over custody to a tandem bicycle.
- Several years ago "Big Bird" appeared in the Civil War Rumble, only to later be revealed as Al Snow in a costume. We hear this year the "real" Big Bird wants to enter this marquee event and has been training for months.
Birds the word?
- Booker T has been approached by producers for a feature film adaptation of "Child of Destiny" and was offered the lead role of Lyvanne. No word yet on if he’ll take them up on the offer or how he would perform the part of a young girl.
