Biography:
Hiroshi Tanahashi has been wrestling for over twenty-two years, staying at the top of the mountain in a dominant fashion for eighteen of those years. Hiroshi Tanahashi would become the guy for a failing wrestling promotion during his younger years, turning the situation around to make the promotion flourish. Being the anchor to what would become the biggest wrestling promotion in Japan would allow Hiroshi Tanahashi to win their world championship multiple times. Even going on to set records, records that will probably last until the end of time.
After years of being on top however, he started to notice younger talents passing him by on the cards. Contrastingly, he began to fade away into the night as he was being shown up by the young lions that were coming to lead the pack. Some of them even going on to make bigger names for themselves in global promotions. With this, Tanahashi started losing the passion and self-confidence that once lead him to being the top guy in Japan. Tanahashi would go on to lose one of the biggest matches of his career, and that was when the fans noticed. The man that they had been watching for a decade and a half was no longer there, it was just a shell of who he had formerly been. The "Ace of the Universe" had already faded, and it was just Tanahashi trying to act like he was still "The Ace of the Universe." Tanahashi would start planning on hanging his boots up, but he received a challenge on what would've been his final night in the ring that he loves with all of his heart.
A challenge from an old acquisition, one that looked up to him when she first started wrestling. Tanahashi now comes to the EWA, where he looks to see if he can bring back the "Ace of the Universe" for one last time. To see if he can once again be on the level that only he can perform at, on the very peak of the mountain. Looking down below as he watches the others attempt to catch up with him and his performances. Can he find a way to do it amongst the best of the very best? Only Father Time will be able to tell us the full story.

Biography:
Since Io's early days of teaming with her sister, it seemed like she was destined for greatness, winning the Newcomer Award in the year of 2007. Io would also capture multiple tag team championship reigns along with her sister, Mio. She would win her first singles championship in the year of 2013, then going on to winning the Women's Wrestling Grand Prize for three years consecutively, from 2015-2017. Io could've stayed in Japan and had a very successful career there, being known as one of the greatest wrestlers in the world during her time in her home of the rising Sun.
That wasn't enough for Io however as she came to the west, wrestling for the bigger wrestling promotions of the world. She was interested in testing her mettle against the very best that the world had to offer, which would eventually be the catalyst of attracting her to coming over to the EWA. She didn't want to come alone however as she noticed her favorite wrestler start to fade out in the new age. She watched as "The Ace of the Century" started to lose the shine that he once had, which bugged her since she would model herself after him when she first started out. That's when she prompted a challenge towards the direction of the suffering Tanahashi, to come to the EWA with her and for him to try to win a singles championship in the promotion that most wrestling fans would consider the home of the greatest wrestlers in the world today.
She had a purpose in challenging Hiroshi Tanahashi into coming to the EWA as well, there's a saying about a horse never being able to run as fast when they don't have competition. What better way is there to get one of the greatest wrestlers in the world back in top shape than going up against the best the world has to offer? Will she be successful in bringing back "The Ace of the Century," or has Father Time finally caught up to her hero?
