A topic of debate in recent weeks in the EWA is who has the right to challenge Diamond Dallas Page for the EWA Television Championship and, perhaps more importantly, what determines the pecking order? According to sources within the EWA front office however, Harry Smith has had it with debates in matters such as title contendership. "Harry was furious with Brian James and DDP for buying and selling TV Title matches at Queen of the Ring," one EWA staff member, who wished to stay anonymous, claimed. "He also wasn't terribly thrilled with Darby Allin assaulting both DDP and Elias after their match last week on SLAM!"
It's been no secret that Darby Allin wants a shot at the Television Championship and that the brooding superstar took exception to the shady business dealings of Brian James and Diamond Dallas Page. Allegedly, Brian James has filed a pair of complaints with EWA Management after SLAM! went off the air against both Darby Allin for assaulting his talent and DDP for "violating the terms and conditions of their contract" in Elias' title match. "Say what you will about how the match happened, Elias didn't receive a fair opportunity at the title in his match last week due to some shady tactics executed by the champion," the source confirmed. Next week, however, the EWA Championship Committee believe they will have everything sorted out in regards to this situation.
In addition to a show filled to the brim with championship implications, Darby Allin will face off against Elias Samson with the Number 1 Contendership for the EWA Television Championship on the line.
"No attacks, no shady business dealings - just a traditional one on one match with the winner moving on to face DDP for the EWA Television Championship."
For this explosive contest and a whole lot more, make sure you tune in to next week's Sunday Night SLAM!, coming at you LIVE from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma!
