Biography: Born and bred in Ayr, Scotland, Drew McIntyre always dreamed of "making it" in professional wrestling. He came close, from time to time, but for some reason it never stuck, and the glorious heights that a promotion like EWA could offer avoided his grasp. The Scotsman began to spiral, what had been little more than a rough patch saw him losing matches and bookings all across the independent scene. At his lowest point McIntyre thought things would never change, and that he'd failed at his dream.
That was when he met Kayleigh Rae (formerly known as Kay Lee Ray on the independent circuit). Kayleigh took McIntyre under her wing, nurturing him, caring for him. A short while later and the pair were married in front of a small audience in the highlands of Scotland. Now, McIntyre finds himself with a renewed purpose. He doesn't just want to "make it" to the top, he has to. Not for his own ego, but to sustain his family. To give them the life he'd always wanted.
After a blistering year on the independents McIntyre and his wife have been offered one last chance. A rookie contract with the EWA. The McIntyre family know that this is the best chance they'll have to snatch this brass ring, and they won't let anyone stop them from doing so.
------------------------------
Drew made his debut on the 7th March edition of Sunday Night Slam, where he answered an open challenge put out by Kenny Omega, hitting the Best Bout Machine with a brutal claymore in the process. A match was setup for the following week, which ended in a count-out draw.
Kenny and Drew went on to have a rematch at the MonAnarchy PPV in a No Count-out, No Rules match to ensure there was a winner. Drew won the match on his PPV debut.
After beating Kenny Omega, Drew set his sight on championship gold. Challenging TV Champion Darby Allin. But the match would have to wait until after Civil War, in which Drew was the last man eliminated in the men's CW match, losing to Adam Page.
Drew and Darby fought to a time limit draw for the TV Championship, with Drew one second away from winning the match after a second Claymore to the champ. A rematch was set up where there would be no time limit. Drew won the rematch with a Claymore, capturing the Television Championship in his first taste of EWA gold.
The following week at the Fight Night PPV Drew announced he'd be defending his new championship every week on TV. Starting off with a victory against Braun Strowman that same night. Drew went on to defend against foes such as KENTA, Davey Richards, and lastly Pete Dunne whom he beat at Red, White & Bruised. The toll of weekly matches was a lot on Drew's body and he sustained a back injury that he insisted on fighting through. This was to be his downfall however, as after being goaded into a NO DQ title rematch vs. Dunne, the True King of Scotland was set upon in a 4 on 1 beatdown at the hands of Black Thought LLC. Dunne won the title, and with sledgehammer to Drew's spine, put him on the shelf.
Drew returned later that year, at Summer Stampede, after a few months on the shelf in the middle of Dunne's TV Title defence against Tyler Breeze. With a vengeful Claymore Kick, Drew cost Dunne the match and the championship.
The war with Pete Dunne took the pair to one final confrontation inside a steel cage. After a brutal and epic SLAM! main event, it was Pete Dunne who walked out the victor of the battle and the war. However, at the October PPV, All Hallow's Evil, Drew McIntyre pulled himself together and won a gruelling Chamber of Horror's match. Earning the opportunity to face the World Champion, Chris Jericho, at the next PPV, King of the Ring.
The build for Jericho/McIntyre was short, but it was quickly established that the two would go to great lengths to prove that they were the better man. Unfortunately for the Scot, it was Jericho who won. Cracks began to appear in McIntyre's usually stoic armour. He was doing enough to keep himself in contention with the best in the company, but failing when it mattered.
So, when he was offered the opportunity to captain a team at Superbrawl, he knew he had to take it and make the most of it. Drafting young up-and-comers Dak Draper & Vladimir Kozlov to his team, Team McIntyre had the desire and physical prowess it would take to win. But, despite their best efforts, Team McIntyre was eliminated. Draper & McIntyre DID walk out of the event with the Tag Team Championships though, having pinned the champions during the main event.
However, Drew wasn't content with tag team gold. He turned heel on his new partner immediately. Blaming Draper for not winning the big one at Superbrawl. In doing so, he brought in some faces from his past. Killer Kelly, Clark Connors, Ricky Shane Page, and Thom Latimer formed The Decree and they took over the EWA. Together, the Decree laid waste to all in their path. Culminating in a Winner Takes All match against Shannon Moore & Jeff Hardy, with the National Championship AND the Tag Team Championships on the line. The Decree won and ended the night draped in gold.
Drew continued to lead the Decree through the early months of 2022, but eventually began to see the error of his ways and felt the knife that was being pushed ever closer to his back. Before Drew had time to right his wrongs, Thom Latimer, RSP, and Lance Storm attacked Drew. They brutalised him and put him on the shelf for months. Latimer took control of the Decree & the National Championship in one fell swoop.
It wasn't until Snow Day that McIntyre would return. With Desmond Wolfe as his new manager, he set his sights on revenge against the man who had side-lined him. Drew's first port of call was a tuning match against the man who had ambushed him on the day the Decree betrayed him, Lance Archer. He bested Archer and set his sights firmly on Thom Latimer, who goaded McIntyre into turning their Hell in a Cell match into a handicap match involving Drew's wife, Kayleigh Rae McIntyre. Drew and Kayleigh accepted. The two fought together at SS and finally put down the man who had plagued Drew's career since day 1.

Biography: Kayleigh Rae was a queen among peasants on the UK independent scene. She stole the show wherever she went and was top billing most nights of the week. Fans would beg for a picture and she would turn them down. Then, she met a man down on his luck and her entire life changed. She let him in, he changed her, made her more likeable, and she changed him.
They rode a wave of success together that saw him as the EWA's hottest young prospect and her... as a stay at home mum. That was fine. Kayleigh loved looking after Luke. She loved watching her husband go from one success to the next. But, when she was drawn into the ring just once, to fight alongside Drew against the evil Thom Latimer, she walked away with the itch. She wanted back and whether it was for a one-off match or a long-term deal, no one was going to get in her way.
