SAN DIEGO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 10, 2020--E-Wrestling Alliance® (EWA) The partnership between Joe Bob Briggs "Last Drive-In" and E-Wrestling Alliance have joined forces once again to launch a wrestling pay-per-view program built on the premise of a Halloween special. It is to combine great pro-wrestling and entertainment.
EWA has announced that it will hold its annual All Hallow's Evil live event on October 31st, Halloween night, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It will take place in the PPG Paints Arena on a Saturday night. The PPG Paints Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. EWA CEO Harry Smith, and various representatives; were on hand for the announcement. Tickets for "All Hallow's Evil" show will go on sale on October 11th. The full card will be announced at a later date, but early word is that there will be a World Championship match. Joe Bob Briggs will be brought in as a host and will provide additional insight and commentary to the event much like he did last year.
Acclaimed author, critic and television personality Joe Bob Briggs first rose to fame over two decades ago as the host of The Movie Channel's Drive-In Theater and MonsterVision on TNT. Recently he returned to the airwaves on Shudder with The Last Drive-In which consists of weekly double features streaming live every Friday night at 9:00 p.m ET/ 6:00 p.m. PT. Briggs was the host of last year's All Hallow's Evil pay-per-view program, when it took place in Texas.
"We're excited to have Joe Bob back as part of the show. It was fun to have him at an EWA® event last year, as we've always enjoyed having the horror hosts be a part of this special show," said Harry Smith, CEO and General Manager. "All Hallow's Evil has had Elvira, Svengoolie and Joe Bob Briggs in the past and it always adds a little something extra to the show. This year it will actually take place on Halloween night, which means our event is happening on a Saturday instead of a Sunday, but I think that just heightens the atmosphere. I expect the fans in the PPG Paints Arena will have a spooky good time. We encourage our fans to dress up in costumes and we'll be handing out candy to the kids."
