EWA Officials have been informed that a special interview with John Cena will be conducted live via satellite on this week's edition of Sunday Night SLAM! It was just two weeks ago in San Diego that Cena was the victim in what can only be described as a senseless and violent attack by the "Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne, culminating in Cena's leg being repeatedly crushed in a car door. Cena was immediately transported to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to try and repair the extensive damage, before eventually being released from the hospital at some point over the last week. While Cena has not yet shared what the extent of his injuries are, EWA Officials have been informed that the former Doctor of Thuganomics is recovering in his home near Boston, Massachusetts. Pete Dunne was initially suspended for one month and issued a heavy fine for his actions, yet "The Career Killer" has employed a legal representative who was able to negotiate down the terms of punishment for his client. As a result, Dunne will be returning from his suspension this week on the grounds that he issues a public apology to Cena for his actions. Those who know of Pete Dunne's reputation and previous behavioral issues have reported that they will doubt the sincerity of this upcoming apology. Cena was just returning from a year long absence from the company and was quoted as saying that he was excited to have an opportunity to redeem himself in the eyes of the EWA fans. That desire, however, is now shrouded in doubt as the severity of Cena's injuries are still unknown at this time. Be sure to tune in this Sunday for the latest news about Cena's future as well as Dunne's public apology, as SLAM! emanates from the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa on the EFN network!
