This is EWA Wrestleline. The only official news and rumors of the E-Wrestling Alliance, reported and verified by EWA insiders. The stories here are broke down into two categories. News, which has gotten official confirmation and comment from the EWA Headquarters in San Diego, CA and Rumors, which have been told to us by those with inside EWA knowledge, but has not been commented on publicly by the company.
- There has been an influx of veteran talent to the company recently with Demolition, PN News, The Godfather and others signing EWA deals. It is believed that these older wrestlers are considered more dependable than some of the younger talent.
- Speaking of younger talent, several have been released, including Austin Aries, Ryuji Ito, Brody King and Zack Ryder.
- There are several other talents expected to get the axe soon, including a couple of surprises.
- EWA has been aggressively pursuing female talents, this comes just as the Women's Championship was vacated by an injured Sasha Banks.
- This week's Sunday Night SLAM will emanate from the TD Arena in Boston, Massachusetts as EWA is on the road to the next pay-per-view event, Insurgency.
- Civil War is occurring later this year than most, as officials wanted to give the event a bit more time to breath post SuperBrawl. This is not the first time that over-the-top rumble event has appeared in April.
- Some veterans have taken a more active backstage role and it is believe that this will continue for the foreseeable future.
- There are some plans to shake things up in EWA, but no word yet on exactly what that means. It could be changes to the weekly program or it could be more logistical advancements.
- Cody Rhodes was spotted at a recent independent wrestling event where he was apparently groped by a fan at ringside. It was said to be a low point in Rhodes' post-EWA career.
- Some are questioning the validity of Dr. Anus' medical credentials after he prescribed biscuits and gravy to one wrestler for a concussion.
- Former EWA wrestler Tomko is now a shrimp boat captain.
- Chinese websites have reportedly been investigating whether or not the bWo (who are currently serving life sentences) were responsible for creating the Coronavirus.
- Booker T has been approached by the Alberto VO5 Shampoo company for a new hair conditioner line, called, "Can you wash it, sucka?". No word yet on if he’ll take them up on the offer.
- Newt misses Bryce.
