After last week's conclusion of SLAM which saw the return of the 2018 King of the Ring, PCO trade blows with former EWA World Champion Brock Lesnar, EWA matchmakers have been working overtime to get this match booked. Shelly Martinez, the handler of PCO has agreed to put up PCO's guaranteed King of the Ring World Championship match, while Brock Lesnar has agreed to wave any contention he may have for the title match. Both men will face off on SLAM in this last minute addition to the card. Whoever wins will face current EWA World Champion Marty Scurll at this year's King of the Ring pay-per-view next Sunday. As part of the prize of winning King of the Ring in 2018, PCO was guaranteed the first and last World Championship title matches in 2019. In early 2019 he cashed in his first shot and defeated Ken Shamrock to become EWA World Champion. Several weeks later he was defeated by Brock Lesnar, who was then defeated moments later by Marty Scurll who cashed in his Civil War title match. As a result, Brock Lesnar has repeatedly sought out a return match but never got one. Lesnar believed he was owed another shot at the championship and after successful rivalries with Matt Taven and Brian Kendrick, it would be hard to disagree with his record. However, PCO is still technically owed one final shot at the gold in 2019, even though he hasn't been active since Brock Lesnar defeated him for the championship. Both men have valid claims and both men are risking those claims this Sunday night on SLAM in a match determine just who has the right to fight Marty Scurll at King of the Ring in the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina live on pay-per-view, November 24th. This week's episode of SLAM just got a lot more explosive.
