This is EWA Wrestleline. The only official news and rumors of the E-Wrestling Alliance, reported and verified by EWA insiders. The stories here are broke down into two categories. News, which has gotten official confirmation and comment from the EWA Headquarters in San Diego, CA and Rumors, which have been told to us by those with inside EWA knowledge, but has not been commented on publicly by the company.
- A former EWA wrestler who has held gold in the company just inked a new contract to return. While we can't comment on just who the wrestler is, it is believed that they will be a part of an ongoing angle upon their return.
- There was some confusion on the finish to this past week's National Title #1 contender's match. A couple of agents had discussed other possible endings, but in the end Harry Smith made the final call and was said to be happy with the decision.
- Some backstage are upset over the sheer number of matches this upcoming week, while others are looking at it as a bit of a "Super SLAM" to lighten the burden of not having a pay-per-view this month. Either way, this upcoming week's show is considerably stacked.
- Segments were more tightly managed earlier this year, but that has loosened up in recent weeks. There is some call backstage to tighten the reins a bit more, as some wrestlers continue to have issues with segments.
- Harry Smith is said to be upset over the use of language on recent episodes of SLAM. Expect more censorship of anything over a "hell". Smith was quoted as saying, "It'd be easier if the wrestlers censored themselves." Apparently EFN has gotten worried over the strong language that has permeated recent broadcasts.
- EWA has officially signed an agreement for the upcoming tour. While the locations have not yet been announced, it is somewhere EWA has not been in a while. This past year EWA embarked on a successful tour of Canada. More details will appear in the coming weeks.
- Attendance has been up at recent events, but EWA continues to make frequent stops to the E-Arena. Built many years ago, this is considered "home base" for the E-Wrestling Alliance, even if it can't pack in as large of a crowd as regular venues. There's been talk of remodeling and expanding the E-Arena.
- Former EWA superstar Orlando Jordan was recently honored as a "Don" at the University of San Francisco. Jordan is said to have had a wild and fruitful time there while celebrating this honor.
- Apparently Tully Blanchard just finished his story about the trip to Shelbyville.
- Don West apparently had a fever this past week, but drank lots of liquids and is expected to make a full recovery.
- If Luchasaurus is successful, EWA may be willing to hire other dinosaurs.
- Booker T has been approached by a pet supply company to license his likeness for a variety of products including "Harlem Heartwormer" (a heart worm medication) and "Booker Fleas" (flea collars) but has not yet signed the deal.
- Newt was said to be somewhat concerned about the lack of pickles at catering following this past week's SLAM.
