Biography:
In the late summer of 2001 Tom Lawlor received a phone call that nobody wishes to get. His sister had been killed in a car accident. Not too sure what to do or how to react Tom needed something to get his mind away from the abyss that he had been placed in. Every time he closed his eyes she was right there. His sister's voice reaching out to him from the beyond and he could not escape it. Needing to get his physical and mental aggression something to do other than to try and destroy himself he got off the couch and walked into the local Ju-Jitsu dojo. That was the start of a mixed martial arts career that led him all over the world from fighting in barns to some of the largest arenas in the world. As the wear and tear on his body started to add up along with age Tom needed an advantage to stem the tide against the younger generation. He looked for an edge and found it.Then he was caught.
Right before a massive Par Per View card Lawlor tested positive for several types of performance enhancing drugs. He was stripped of his light heavyweight title and banned from competing in mixed martial arts for the rest of his life. That was when he was approached by a small time professional wrestling promoter in Las Vegas, Nevada. He needed a name to get people to his show and for the hell of it Tom took a chance and stepped from the Octagon to the squared circle. For the past two years Lawlor has been watching as Brock Lesnar and Ken Shamrock took the biggest prize in the EWA home for themselves. Now he sees a chance to step into the world that they have shaped and stake his own claim.
EWA History:
-Lawlor made his in ring debut against the Miz on the 5/12 edition of Sunday Night SLAM. He was able to take the victory against the A-List movie star in what a lot of fans and wrestling journalists are calling an upset.
-Lawlor stepped out and interrupted a showdown between the Flamingo Family and Jake the Snake Roberts. Speaking out against both men Lawlor put his name forward as another contender for the National Title. That next week Lawlor and Buh-Buh Ray Dudley went head to head for a chance at the National Title. Lawlor lost the contest. Looking to bounce back from the loss and to stay in the National Title hunt Lawlor immediately asked for another match and is slated to face the debuting Luchasaurus on the 6/9 edition of SLAM.
-Tom lost a close battle against the debuting Luchasaurus. His war of words continued with Ilja Dragunov who decided to get himself involved at the end of Rhea Ripley's match the following week on SLAM. Two weeks after his battle against Luchasaurus Tom went up against Shinsuke Nakamura.
-Lawlor won a close contest against the Japanese striker and put out the challenge to Dragunov who accepted and made the match official between himself and Ilja Dragunov for Red, White, and Bruised 2019.
-Lawlor defeated Dragunov via submission at Red, White, and Bruised to put an end to Dragunov's harassment of Singularity for the time being. Prior to leaving for Japan Tom got word that Bobby Lashley and the Santanic Clown Posse had called Lawlor out. Tom is expected to answer Lashley on the first stop of the EWA's tour of Japan.
-Tom answered the challenge on the first top of the tour in Japan. He accepted Lashley's challenge and the two met on the 7/21 edition of SLAM. In a short but intense matchup, Lawlor defeated Lashley. The match turned ugly very quickly and Lawlor knocked Lashley out, sending the leader of the SCP back to the United States.
-Upon returning to the United States Lawlor was attacked by the Santanic Clown Posse after bragging about the beating he put on Lashley. Accepting a 2 vs. 1 challenge against the SCP Ken Shamrock approaching Lawlor about teaming up against the SCP in one week's time. The duo faced and defeated the SCP with Ken Shamrock scoring the submission victory over R-Truth while Lashley and Lawlor brawled in the ring.
