Biography: In 2016, Charlotte Flair came to the EWA to start a revolution. The women's division, for all intents and purposes, had been dead and buried. But Charlotte knew that needed to change. She came to the EWA, determined to revive the division and slowly but surely, her efforts paid off. More women signed to the company, the EWA reinstated the Women's Championship, and Charlotte even held the title herself. But one day she woke up, and she no longer had the fire inside of her that she had once had. The drive that had brought her to the EWA stalled out and she knew it was time for a change. So, she made the decision to walk away. In that time, Charlotte took the opportunity to broaden her horizons. She traveled the world, dabbled in modeling, dabbled in acting, in short her life became a whirlwind of excitement.
But something was missing. Despite all of the photo shoots, press appearances, red carpets, etc. Charlotte knew deep down this wasn't what she wanted. On a trip to Japan, sitting in the celebrity suite at the Tokyo Dome for a wrestling event, it all came rushing back to her. The fire. The passion. This is what she was born to do. This is her destiny. To continue what she started all those years ago and bring the EWA Women's Division to new heights while continuing her family's legacy. But this time, it's going to be on her terms. She won't have her dad or her brother by her side, she will be on her own showing the world what she is capable of.
Her first match back was a dominant display against developmental talent DDT Diana Taylor, and the following week she entered the 2022 Women's Civil War Match, where she put on one hell of a showing eliminating Becky Lynch and Abadon, making it to the final 3 of the match with Tessa Blanchard and eventual winner Rhea Ripley. This resulted in a war over the coming weeks between Flair and Ripley the likes of which likely has never been seen in the history of the EWA Women's Division. The boiling tensions finally came to a head at Mayan Mayhem in a match with Rhea's title opportunity on the line, Charlotte snapped and unleashed a furious assault on Ripley that ended in a DQ loss for The Opportunity, but she didn't let that get her down. After putting Rhea Ripley out of commission, she went to unleash similar carnage on unsuspecting opponents over the next couple of weeks until EWA Women's Champion Kylie Rae stepped up to her and challenged her to a match with the title on the line. In a thrilling match on EWA USA, Charlotte made Kylie tap to the Figure Eight to claim the EWA Women's Championship for a second time. Since that time, Charlotte has been on an absolute tear, defending the title against the likes of Nattie Neidhart, Abadon, Taya Valkyrie, and Lindsay Snow.
And on December 11, 2022, EWA Owner and General Manager Harry Smith named Charlotte one of the team captains for SuperBrawl XXII, marking the first time in history that a female competitor would captain a team. With a freight train of momentum behind her, Charlotte went on to lead her team to victory in the annual SuperBrawl match, retaining her Women's Championship and picking up the World Heavyweight Championship and the World Tag Team Championships for Sefa Fatu and The Usos respectively.
Going into 2023, Charlotte continued her dominance, turning back all comers including her longtime rival Rhea Ripley, Trish Stratus, and Toni Storm. Unfortunately, her quest to break the reign for longest reigning Women's Champion in EWA history hit a roadblock in the form of 2023 Women's Civil War winner, Sasha Banks. The former friends turned bitter rivals went head-to-head in a thrilling main event match at Motor City Mayhem that saw The Boss get the win and the championship just one day before Charlotte was set to break the record. Since that fateful day, Charlotte has gone on to continue assert her dominance in the EWA, scoring wins over Lacey Evans, Katana Chance, and Kayden Carter while breaking boundaries and defeating Finn Balor at the 2023 Red, White, & Bruised event to become the number one contender to the EWA Television Championship. Charlotte went on to challenge the champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, taking him to the limits but ultimately coming up short after his girlfriend, Maxxine Dupri, interfered. Not long after, Charlotte was the victim of a vicious assault from The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, putting Charlotte on the shelf for the foreseeable future.
While it's not know when she will return, one thing is for certain: Charlotte Flair will not let anyone or anything keep her down for long, as she looks to make her mark as the most dominant female in EWA history!
