At the tender age of three whilst on vacation with his parents, “One Eye” Lorcan (known simply as “Oney Lorcan” at the time ((because he had two eyes))) was kidnapped by evil pirates on the infamous Haiti island of Tortuga. For years, the pirates referred to Lorcan as their “servant,” though in reality, Lorcan was the victim of borderline slavery from his captors.
One night, in a lucky turn of events, his evil pirate captors forgot to lock a window in Oney’s cell. Spying his opportunity and the certainties of a better life as a free lad, Lorcan lept from the third-story window to his freedom, sustaining a badly broken leg in the process (which to this day was never surgically mended, forcing him to walk with a slight limp). Overall, his escape went successfully, meaning that a now eight-year old Lorcan could now make his own life, and choose what he wanted to do.
Many years of scavenging food, fighting for money and sleeping rough passed until Oney happened upon the presence of the infamous “John Silver Fossil.” Fossil was a pirate, much like Lorcan’s captors who plagued his past, but this particular pirate was different. He took Lorcan under his parrot’s wing, showing him the ways of the buccaneer and how to look after himself as a pirate in the twenty-first century. This continued until John Silver Fossil’s untimely death while Oney was only sixteen years old. Once again, Oney was on his own.
Fifteen years and an unfortunate loss of half his vision later, “One Eye” Lorcan finally found his way onto the dry land of the United States of America. It is here where he shall lay down his anchor and make an honest living for himself. Now, Lorcan yields no trade experience. And if one thing is for sure, he isn’t going back into his former life of acting the servant/slave. Luckily though, “One Eye” Lorcan can throw a knee to the head of a downed opponent like the best of them, which is exactly how he plans to spend his time whilst treading on American soil.
So what choice does that leave you?
Well, you can either THROW ‘EM UP… or WALK THE PLANK.
